What's new

Every significant change to the Tech Work Finder and the Student Tech Work Tracker, newest first. Small fixes and tidying are left out.

Both tools are built in the open with a group of teachers testing as we go, and a good deal of what follows started as something one of them told us.

Thinking about building

Not built yet, and whether it gets built depends on whether teachers want it. One tap tells us.

ProposedExam order on the wheel

An ABRSM examiner suggested this one. At the moment the wheel picks at random, so it can land on the same three scales all afternoon. Exam order would still pick at random, but work through your board's own list the way an examiner does: scales hands separately and hands together, then contrary motion and the chromatic, then arpeggios, then the board's set exercises. It would cover every type before repeating anything. The minors would come up in all three forms rather than harmonic every time.

About the syllabus data

Every board here is published with that board's written permission, and each syllabus was typed up from their own printed books rather than scraped from a website. Ten boards, 19 syllabuses and 2,788 requirements so far. RCM is next. When a board reissues a syllabus we update it, and your students' ticks come with them.
